Snow has covered the streets of New Heim, and the decorations are all set to spread holiday cheer to Vikings and jarls. Join snowball fights, launch fireworks, and don’t forget to claim presents for upgrading your character!

Oh, and we recommend you check the blueprints - a Christmas tree is already there, waiting to be set up. Place it at your camp, find some decorations, improve it, and earn extra rewards!

An odd motley crew has settled in the abandoned camp near New Heim: there is a mysterious mage Galain, a dwarf-trader Phryke, and a giant-bouncer Glork. But don’t worry - they’re staying there with the Elder’s permission, and furthermore, asking the immortals for help.

Galain and his companions have found out that an ancient castle on the border of Helheim serves as storage of enchanted giants’ bones for Hel and her subjects. Those bones are used for building portals, which will enable the goddess of death to launch an offensive against Midgard. The mission of the immortals is to prevent it!

In Mole Hole, you will find a bone portal similar to those Hel’s planning to use. The portal will lead you to Lake Castle, the concentration point of giants’ bones.

Prepare very well before entering the enemy’s territory! Danger is to come not only from the inhabitants of the castle but also from other Vikings you may encounter in its corridors or by the exit.

Speaking of the exit. The portal that is supposed to lead you to the castle is only capable of one-way trips. To come back, you’ll have to find another one by following the tips on the minimap.

You can enter Lake Castle as a part of a family or solo. Yet, if you decide to go it alone, be aware that this place will prove to be a truly hardcore challenge.

In case you manage to escape the castle not only with a whole skin but a few enchanted bones under your belt, the trader-dwarf Phryke will be happy to exchange them for season points. They will unlock valuable rewards, among which you will find some legendary equipment, a new type of mount, and even a brand-new class!

The release of update 1.14 is also going to mark the rise of the runes level cap. From now on, runes can be upgraded up to level 5!

On top of that, the assortment of runes has been expanded with Vitality Rune. Unlike Health Rune that increases the percentage of the health pool, Vitality Rune provides a fixed number of bonus health points.
