One of the main new features introduced in this update is an entire complex of underground mazes, Ice Abode.
To enter it, you’ll need ice amulets which can be retrieved from frost giants and the caretakers. Naturally, they won’t just give them out, so you’ll have to fight for every amulet.
When you collect the required number of amulets, your family will be able to open the entrance to a random Ice Abode where hordes of enemies will try to stop you on your way to fight the Abode’s mistresses. Not an easy ordeal, but the reward is certainly worth it!
In this update, Hel’s henchmen won’t be the only enemy you’ll have to battle. Treasures of the North is a new PvP location, and in order to enter it, you must have at least 350 battle rating points. Here, you will find not one (like in other locations with Treasures), but three chests situated in various places within the location. However, only one of them stores particularly precious loot.
Be careful, for, in addition to other players, you will be threatened by monsters, traps, and, certainly, the cold. A campfire in the center of the location will help you deal with the latter, but it’s important to remember that you won’t be alone, so you probably won’t be able to get cozy by the fire.
Build a Log Storage and lumberjack will appear at your camp. Provide him some food and he will automatically gather pine logs for you. New Miner's Site and Hunter's Shack work similarly. The miner can supply your camp with limestone, while the hunter brings meat.
All these buildings could be improved with additional upgrades, unlocking more slots for resources and increasing production speed. Watch out for raiders though - they can kill your workers and stop production! By the way, your NPCs will tell you the name of the killer when you revive them.
In addition to the new buildings, you’ll get one more structure for your camp - Armor Dummy. It will allow you to prepare an equipment kit in advance so that you could quickly change it when necessary. But be careful - the equipment on the dummy is not protected during a raid, so position it in the camp very responsibly.
This update also improves communications between players. From now on in the chat window you may see what players you've met recently. Recent players can be added to the favorites list for your convenience. Also, you will get an option to open a private chat with players or mute unwelcoming messages.
As always, we’ve also added a variety of small improvements, such as the display of different stages of game loading during the app launch, setup of the way walls and floors are being placed, and a resource counter for the construction process.
That’s it for today, immortals. Good luck with moving further north! Meanwhile, we’ll keep working on the upcoming updates which will bring some challenging competitions for viking clans to take part in! Lykke til!
