FROSTBORN: CO-OP SURVIVAL
Update 1.6
Preparing to expedition
Update 1.6 is about to become available on all platforms, and this means it’s time to check out the full list of changes!

The term of the truce set by the Council of Elders is ending with the release of the update, so raids are about to be back in the game! The action time of Totem of Protection is increased up to 96 hours, while Orbs of Protection are now called Small Orbs of Protection. They still charge the shield for 24 hours, but now they cost half the price. Besides, Small Orbs of Protection can be found in the Royal (guaranteed) and Noble (small chance) Treasuries in Sanctum of Odin.

Also, all Totems of Protection will be fully charged by the time the update is out, which will provide you with extra time for preparing to defend the camp from possible attacks.

The truce ends, and a new decree on preparing for an expedition takes its place. From now on, battles are forbidden on all main resource locations from Forest of Whispers and Baldr's Cliffs to Forest of Shadows and Desperate's Foothills.

However, meeting hostile players on the new location Freyr's Land will still be possible, as well as running into much greater amounts of high-rank resources, such as copper and maple. Note that entrance to Freyr's Land requires at least 150 points of battle rating.

The following important changes of update 1.6 are related to the class system overhaul. We’ve not only improved the visual representation of each class, added filtering options and enhanced pop-up tips on spells with useful information, but also completely redesigned the mechanics of learning new classes. Now you can learn/improve any class in any sequence! Want to learn Fire Mage while skipping Ice Mage and Illusionist? Go for it!

Another significant change is a campfire in the vicinity of the central square of New Heim. Rest by the fire around other immortals to get a temporary effect - Odin’s Might. While it’s active, your attacks in Sanctum of Odin deal increased damage, the amount of which depends on the quality of your equipment (the higher the battle rating is, the stronger the effect).

Speaking of Sanctum of Odin. A new type of potion can now be found among other valuable resources and objects in Noble and Royal Treasuries — powerful elixirs which give you unique effects for one hour. For instance, Elixir of Survival increases the effectiveness of self-healing and armor, while Hunter’s Elixir increases armor as well as the damage of ranged weapons in forest/rocky locations, tombs, and sanctums. Keep in mind that only one elixir effect can be applied at a time. You can get new potions not only from the treasuries but also from the trader in New Heim, so don’t forget to occasionally check the range of his goods!

By the way, all the new long-lasting effects will appear on a special bar in the top left corner of the game interface. You can open the bar and check out the details about each of the currently active effects just by tapping on it.

The changes couldn’t go past the latest introduction — mounts:

A new button “Add all” will allow you to quickly fill all the slots during an exchange in the New Heim stable;

From now on, you can combine the skills of horses of the same type during an exchange;

Some of your mounts’ characteristics will develop as the rank increases. For example, a horse of a higher rank will move faster and withstand more damage than a horse of a lower rank;

You will get a horse right after you build a Stable in the camp (those who have already built a Stable can use that opportunity as well);

If you would really like to get into mount breeding but there isn’t enough space for everyone, you can now increase the capacity of your collection up to the maximum of 60 slots.

We have taken measures against spam in the chat and turned push notifications back on after a few technical adjustments. We would like to remind you that you can choose what notifications you would like to receive in the corresponding options window.

You will find a new button “Report a bug” in the same window. It will allow you to fill in a bug report and send it for further examination without distracting from the game.

Several attractive time-limited packs and a new big sale are coming soon. So, we suggest those of you who like generous offers check out the in-game store so that you don’t miss anything important and get ready for the upcoming journey to the North!

That’s all for today, immortals! Share your impressions on the update that was the last milestone before the journey to the lands of giants! We wish you good luck in the upcoming raid battles! Lykke til!
